Homeschooling can be all consuming day in and day out, year after year but we cannot allow this very good thing we are doing to distract us from the call on our lives as followers of Christ: to be a disciple who can contribute to making disciples. Ultimately discipleship is how God transforms us, getting the character of Christ, the message of Christ, and the ministry of Christ operational in and through our lives. Marriage is an amazing tool for God to do just that because marriage exposes in us what still needs to be transformed. This is a 30-45 minute session, in which Ryan will discuss the benefits of raising financially responsible children, review financial basics to share with them, and explain how examples that you set can instill habits that impact the entire family. He will also touch on the importance of saving, as well as avoiding debt. Finally, Ryan will show specific examples that demonstrate the power of compounding interest, and cover some basics of investing.

Goal setting is often thought of as a great idea and something everyone needs to do but we rarely do it and when we do, we usually lose track of the goal along the way. In this workshop, goals are brought to life through creation and conversation. Everyone participating will create a goal and a visual display for that goal during the workshop. This process can be done with family members over and over again as well as with other homeschool groups as activities. The process is created in a fun and fast paced style with everyone having an opportunity to create and share their goal that will leave each participant inspired by their goal and by the goals of others.

It will cover some basics of cognitive and emotional development at each stage – toddlers, preschoolers, elementary, and adolescents – related to self-regulation. Tips will be given for what parents should and should not do at each stage to help their children develop this vital skill.

Through interactive discussions and practical tools, parents will learn how Jesus' model of discipleship is essential in helping their child understand the "why" behind their faith while also meeting them in their personal struggles (ie depression, anxiety, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, etc.) Drawing from biblical principles and contemporary insights, this session will provide parents with successful strategies to guide their child in developing a firm foundation of faith, rooted in a personal relationship with God and a solid understanding of their beliefs.

Join Mrs. C for a mini-SAT Boot Camp. Mrs. C will be showing the tips and techniques from his SAT Boot Camps. This workshop will focus on math, the language behind the questions and show participants what they really need to know before taking the math section of the SAT.
